Discussion forum with candidates for dean
A discussion forum has been set up in IS for unmoderated discussion between the academic community of our faculty and the candidates for dean.
On 31st January 2026, the current Dean's term of office will expire. The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science MU has announced the election of a new Dean.
Dear ladies and gentlemen,
On January 31, 2026, the regular mandate of the current Dean will end. The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University has announced the election of a new Dean, which is governed by the Statute of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University, Appendix 3: https://is.muni.cz/auth/do/sci/normy/VNP/statut_fakulty_statute_faculty/
We are asking you to send a nomination of a candidate for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Science. Deadline for submitting proposals: July 1 to September 7, 2025. Each member of the faculty's academic community may nominate only one candidate. A proposal for the candidate is submitted electronically via e-mail exclusively sent from the Masaryk University’s Information System to the following e-mail address: volba.dekana@sci.muni.cz no later than September 7, 2025 (inclusive). The candidates then have the opportunity to complete the submitted documents required by the Statute by September 14, 2025.
The names of the candidates will be announced to the academic community on September 16, 2025, and their introduction and discussion with them will then take place at the academic community meeting on October 6, 2025. Further information will be announced later.
